If you want to be getting paid to walk too, you can download Sweatcoin here!
What is Sweatcoin
Sweatcoin is an app created by Sweatco LTD that syncs with either Google Fitness for Android, or your iPhones internal fitness trackers, designed to encourage people to be more active by rewarding you for it. With a sleek and easy to use design, Sweatcoin is the ultimate app that pays you for walking.
Users are credited with 1 Sweatcoin for every 1000 steps that the app can verify to be legitimate, which you can then later use to get things like watches, clothing, fitness programs, drink bottles and much more for free or at a heavily discounted price.
The app also offers marathon offers, which are a task better suited for a group, but will get you $1000 USD cash, 5 nights in Disneyland, a $1000 KLM Airways voucher or a Curved Samsung Smart TV. On top of this, the developers at Sweatcoin are working to make your pre-existing Sweatcoin a fully tradable cryptocurrency.
How does Sweatcoin work
Sweatcoin works by syncing with your phones pedometer to track and verify your steps. The verification stage is very important as to stop potential hackers, or people faking the steps. Once verified, you will be credited with your Sweatcoins.
Earning Sweatcoins (SWC) is as easy as that. As long as you keep walking around, you’ll keep earning. And the best part, its all automatic, so you won’t need to go in and claim your coins every day like with WinWalk.
After signing up, you will be asked which plan you want to join. Don’t worry, all plans are free, but depending on which one you’re on, it will take varying amounts of your SWC each month. The options are:
- Mover- allows you to earn up to 5 SWC a day and is free!
- Shaker- allows you to earn up to 10 SWC a day and will cost you 4.75 SWC a month.
- Quaker- allows you to earn up to 15 SWC a day and will cost you 20 SWC a month.
- Breaker- allows you to earn up to 20 SWC a day and will cost you 30 SWC a month.
- Trouble Maker- not currently available, but will likely allow you to earn either 25 or 30 SWC a day.
I personally use Quaker, but depending on how much you walk or run every day, a different plan may be right for you. Remember 1 SWC = 1000 steps, so my plan allows me to get credited for up to 15,000 steps a day. Truthfully, I won’t often do anywhere near that many steps, but it encourages me to walk around a bit more. Don’t forget, they want you to be fit.
You can also earn a daily bonus by watching an ad, which will give you 1 SWC, then 2 the next day and 4 on the third and final day before starting back at 1. The final earning option is to earn by referring a friend, which will get you 5 SWC and you’ll also be able to see how active they are from the friends tab.
Is Sweatcoin Legit?
Yes! Sweatcoin is in no way a scam. I’ve been using this app for over a year now and have never encountered a problem that I’ve not caused. A word of warning though, if you’re going to put your phone into low power mode, it may effect how your phone tracks your steps. Apart from that, I’ve never had any issue with this.
The app has a 4.2 star rating on Google Play Store, however almost all of the negative reviews are from people whose steps aren’t being tracked properly. This can be caused by a few different things, which they try and address in the app, claiming that their method of playing with your settings “fixes 95% of complaints”. If there’s still problems, there is a 24/7 support team on hand.
The cash out process is also completely legit and glitch free. There are very few complaints about this out there, and I can understand why. Any cash out options are fully explained in detail and the support team are said to be very useful for any issues regarding this. After all, happy users = more users.
Cash Out Options
Unfortunately, there is no in app option to cash out your SWC earnings for cash or gift card, without walking around for a very long time. Don’t be disheartened though, the development team are currently working on turning SWC into a fully functioning cryptocurrency. This has been long rumored amongst users and finally confirmed by Sweatco, who state on the website “Soon Sweatcoins will become a universally accepted form of payment”. Start earning today before they become tradable and take advantage of the initial boom.
The current options for cashing out fall into either marathon offers, crowdfunding, or offers for today.
The marathon offers will include things that you will really need to work for. These will likely only ever be available to either people that are super active, people that buy their coins (which I’ll talk about later), or people trusting enough to form a group. All offers will vary slightly with your location, however these are the current marathon offers available:
- Apple watch series 5- 13,000 SWC.
- $400 USD Nike gift card- 13,000 SWC.
- $500 USD Under Armour gift card- 14,000 SWC.
- iPhone XS- 20,000 SWC.
- $1000 USD- 20,000 SWC.
- 55 Inch Curved 4K Samsung TV- 20,000 SWC.
The crowdfunding feature is only a recent addition into the app. You are given several options of which charity project you would like to donate your SWC to, so you can help without paying a cent. Each campaign is accompanied by a video, photos and information about the cause you will be helping. You’re also able to see how much has been donated so far and how close everyone is to the goal amount. What’s important to note is you can select any amount of your balance to donate to the cause, with no drawbacks! The current options are:
- Support Gender Equality in Burkina Faso
- Support the prevention of child marriage in Jordan and Morocco
- Plant 3,500 trees for the Orca’s
Finally, there are the regular every day offers. These are the most commonly used of all and come from a wide range of companies. For example, my current offers are:
- One month of Singa Karaoke- 5.99 SWC.
- One month of AI personal trainer- 4.99 SWC.
- 60 days of NextUp streaming- 5.99 SWC.
- One month of Boxx online workout- 13.99 SWC.
However in the past I have seen many offers for discounted clothing, drink bottles, meal plans, grooming products, even free watches. The Sweatcoin website claims there are over 300 companies partnered with them to provide these offers, not discriminating against the category of product those companies offer. These offers are always on a pretty quick rotation, as people from all around the world are eager to snap them up.
How Does Sweatcoin Make Money?
Sweatco makes money from the companies partnering with them. As SWC are not yet a cryptocurrency, the only source of income for Sweatco is through the offers section and the daily bonus. The daily bonus is simple, you watch an ad, you receive the bonus, they receive the ad revenue, albeit a very small amount.
In the offers section, it’s a little more complicated. Those offers you see, whether they are marathon or regular offers, aren’t free. The companies offering them have to pay Sweatco for the exposure of the offer. After all, it really is just advertising. For offers such as online subscriptions, there is a good chance that after the trial period ends, the user will continue using the service, but now paying as a normal customer. This is actually an extremely effective way for many companies, particularly those who are fitness based, as they are tapping into a somewhat refined market of people who care about fitness.
So what does that mean for you and I? Simple, the more money Sweatco makes, the happier the app users are. As long as they are making money, the app will continue to grow and develop further. This will ensure that SWC reaches the crypto market, and big companies will continue to provide offers.
Sweatcoin Influencer Program
This is the only non-marathon way to earn real money using this app at the moment, and is actually making some people a lot of money. As mentioned earlier, you get 5 SWC for each friend you refer. But there is a secret feature in the app that isn’t available to everyone. It’s called the Sweatcoin Influencer Program. Designed for people with a public profile, or simply people who are persistent with spamming their referral code, the program automatically becomes available after you’ve referred 30 people.
Once available, you will get $1 USD for every person who uses your referral link or code, available to cash out through PayPal transfer. This lasts forever and is earning some people serious cash, like ImJustBait on Instagram who made $10,000 from posting his link a few times. If you have a following of any size, you should definitely take advantage of the offer.
Swetcoin Hack- Can You Cheat the System?
Upon searching this you will find many people claiming it is possible to hack Sweatcoin. The fact is though, it is a highly secure app and if any hacks were available they would be patched extremely quickly. I’ve not seen any hacks that I could both confirm to be legit and that lasted more than a few days. After all, SWC will soon be worth real money, so we can’t have people giving themselves free money.
Sweatcoin Price – What Will It Be Worth?
Currently Sweatcoin is not listed as an official, tradable cryptocurrency. We will update this section when you are able to list your Sweatcoins in exchange for cash or other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. However, people are already trading them for cash through Reddit.
This is completely unofficial and Sweatco doesn’t take any responsibility for any trades. The trades simply occur by one person either offering to sell or requesting to buy, then another person fulfilling that request in exchange for PayPal transfer. To improve safety a middle man is also normally used, but you can still see how this is dodgy. Regardless, there is a large group of people out there who want as many SWC in their wallets as possible before it launches as a crypto. The price people are willing to pay is generally around $0.03 USD per SWC.
There is no way to know how much SWC will be worth once it officially hits the market. Hopefully, it won’t go the way of many other crypto apps, who usually have an initial spike, then drop entirely and never bounce back.
Why I Love Sweatcoin
I like Sweatcoin because it’s the complete package from an app that pays you to walk. It is simple and effective in getting people to move more, in fact a recent study from the U.K. showed a 20% increase in fitness activity from people who had downloaded the app (their homepage). Somehow, the developers have managed to create an app that rewards you, themselves and the companies who promote with them. Nobody loses here and I think that’s why I love it.
In terms of achieving marathon offers, while I may not have the patience to clock up 20,000 SWC, I certainly have a reason to walk more in a day than I would before. The marathon offers encourage you to work as a team and get fit together.
Sweatcoin is the ultimate app for literally anyone who wants to make a little bit of money. You may have to wait until the crypto launches sure, but for now, the app is perfect for you if you want a little fitness encouragement, or just want to track your steps. Sweatcoin is one of the few apps that I regularly use and is my app of choice for making money while you walk.
